How it works

A clear process in three steps.

You tell us what happened. We handle the rest, from assessment to payout.

01 — Approx. 5 minutes

Submit your details

Provide your flight number, travel date and a description of the disruption, and upload your booking confirmation and any supporting documents.

02 — Free of charge

We assess your claim

A member of our team reviews your claim against the regulations applicable to your route and airline, and advises you clearly on whether it should be pursued.

03 — Managed for you

We pursue the airline

We submit the claim, manage all correspondence and escalate where necessary. Once the airline pays, we transfer the compensation to you, less our fee.

Passenger rights

Understanding your entitlements.

Passenger-rights laws, rules and regulations protect travellers in a wide range of situations. Your specific entitlement depends on your route, the operating airline and the cause of the disruption, which our free assessment will determine.

SituationWhat you may be entitled to
Long delayDepending on the route and airline, a significant delay may qualify for fixed financial compensation, in addition to meals and assistance while you wait.
CancellationA refund or an alternative flight and, in many cases, additional compensation, particularly where notice was short.
Denied boardingCompensation where boarding was refused against your will, together with re-routing or a refund.
Missed connectionWhere a delayed flight caused you to miss a connection and arrive at your final destination significantly late, compensation may be due.
BaggageAirlines are liable for lost, delayed and damaged checked baggage, up to defined limits. Strict reporting deadlines apply, so the airline should be notified as soon as possible.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

Am I eligible to make a claim?
Eligibility depends on your route, the operating airline, the length of the delay and the cause of the disruption. Passenger-rights laws, rules and regulations may entitle you to compensation for significant delays and short-notice cancellations, a refund, compensation for denied boarding, or reimbursement for lost, delayed or damaged baggage. Once you submit your details, we will assess your claim free of charge and advise you whether it should be pursued.
Which documents do I need?
Your booking confirmation or e-ticket is the most important document. Boarding passes, any correspondence from the airline regarding the disruption, receipts for additional expenses and, for baggage claims, the Property Irregularity Report (PIR) issued at the airport are also helpful, as are photographs of any damage. If you do not have every document, please upload what you have; we will request anything further that is required.
How long does the process take?
Some airlines settle well-documented claims within a few weeks. Others initially reject claims and settle only after escalation, which may take several months. We will keep you informed at each stage and advise you of the expected next steps.
Can I track the progress of my claim?
Yes. After submitting your claim, you will receive a claim reference by email. Enter this reference together with your email address on the Track a Claim page to view the current status of your claim and its full history.
What happens if the airline rejects my claim?
Airlines frequently reject claims on the grounds of 'extraordinary circumstances', such as adverse weather. We review whether the stated reason is valid. Where it is not, we will challenge the decision and, where appropriate, escalate the matter to the relevant regulator, an alternative dispute resolution body or a legal partner, at no additional cost to you.
How long after my flight can I submit a claim?
For delays and cancellations, the time limit is often several years, depending on the jurisdiction. Baggage claims are subject to much shorter deadlines: damage must usually be reported to the airline within 7 days, and delayed baggage within 21 days of receipt. If your baggage was affected, please notify the airline immediately and then submit your claim with us.
